This breakfast was a true delight in all sense. From rags to riches kinda story. Why, because it was either this or nothing at all. I found the last 2 pieces of bread hiding in the bread basket rather forlornly and decided they paired best with milky eggs and bit of cinnamon powder. Guess what’s even better than that? These 2 pieces of bread fed us 3 in a princely way!
To make this french toast, you’ll need:
2 pieces of bread cut lengthwise, you get about 8-9 strips
2 eggs beat together with some salt and cinnamon powder and soak the breadsticks in it
bit of butter to oil the pan and bring the soaked breadsticks to it til golden brown
sprinkle on some powdered sugar and your weekend treat is done!
After that, you can start thinking of what you will do this weekend. For us, it is the last one before we leave for France for a ski holiday so definitely a busy week of packing, organizing, getting things in order before the long haul flight. We are excited (in more ways than one!) about this trip. So, we’re just taking it easy these two days before the actual packing starts. And since this time round, we will be staying longer, perhaps a month in the french countryside (gasps!), I am sure there’s more to bring that I can even think of! Oh well… i’ll just enjoy the calm before the ensuing madness.
Wishing you a wonderful time with your loved ones! Have a good one everybody!
