Ok, I almost have these kinds of full windows so this might actually work for my flat. I just feel that this get up above is looking ever so chill. Perfect for reading the afternoon away with some scented candles. Also, it kinda challenges me to get rid of some furniture that’s currently in our way, in line with my desire to live with less. Decisions, decisions!
One of the best things about having lesser furniture is the even lesser need to clean and dust them :) What say you??
When it comes to fabric of choice, besides cotton, i’d say that linen appeals to me most. it is lightweight and airy. And i am almost in love with the crinkly lines it makes during use. I remember a few years before, while travelling in europe, i bought myself a linen dress that was on sale at one of the sidewalk streets in aix en provence. this dress was an impulse purchase because it cost 20 euros. i have never really worn anything linen before and i never really thought i’d wear it back in Singapore. let’s just say i was totally influenced by the european style of summer dressing. anyways, fast forward to when i got back, this linen piece became my favourite dress due to 3 reasons:
1. i hardly sweat in it
2. i don’t have to iron it
3. it gets softer with every wash
nowadays, i have progressed to getting linen fabric for most of my household cloth items but i wish it was that easy to get my hands on them. truth be told, it’s an obsession made worse by my sheer inability to get my hands on them, just yet.
have you noticed my love for lack of colour, yet? good. welcome to my world of neutrality !
