Ok, here’s the thing but I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

The way the crust yellows and turn a delectable gold is indescribable. My whole kitchen was butter heaven way after I finish baking :)))

For my Monsieur who has been talking about it since forever. Mat Salleh misses home.
So if you are tempted, here’s how I made the dough:
A cup of plain flour
A stick of cold butter (OK, its about 125g but you can be discreet and just cut length wise of the whole butter cube)
Salt and some water
Mix flour and generous pinch of salt in a big bowl. Cut the cold butter into small pieces and start to work them into the flour with your fingers till you form a crumbly mixture. Add some water to get a clean dough off the bowl and your fingers too! Refrigerate for 5-10 mins. Roll it out on a board and you’re ready to go.
I have some other pictures that Little Man took of me while i was working on the dough and pies but perhaps after seeing them, you’ll understand why you didn’t see them earlier. But then again, I also happen to think that a 4 year old needs his credit wherever it’s due, so you’ve been warned.
His excuse: Mama, quick I need to finish the game on your phone.
Boys!!!
p.s should you want the recipe for the fillings of the pie, do comment and i’ll be happy to share them with you.
